We've Got The Blues

Wonderfully Delicious Blues.
This year a friend of ours hired the girls to pick their
Blueberry field of about 1 and 1/2 acres, thus allowing us to
have an abundance of Blueberrys in our freezers:)
A truly abundant harvest.
After hours of scorching heat,
you just never know what you might find these girls doing.
(I've heard stories ;)

Ariana is busy with her camera, again!!

Well, looky here :)
The Packing House

"It's been another good day with the Blues,
and it'll be a great (cool) ride home!"
(Thank you to the Tews for all the Blues.)
:)
---------------------------------------------
This is what's happening in the next field, over.
Baling and loading "Oat Hay".
Gabriel's thought: "Now, tell me why we didn't "round bale" this again!"

As work goes on, the Lord is preparing food for His children.
(Plenty of Turkey.)
Quote of the Day:
People who expect the worst,
usually find it.

Something to Chew On

If thou hast run with the footmen,
and they have wearied thee,
then how canst thou contend with horses?

and if in the land of peace,
wherein thou trustedst,
they wearied thee,
then how will thoult do in the swelling of Jordan?

We Are Forever Grateful

Six years ago, today, while going about the tasks of the day, comfortably at home, we were thinking of what a wonderful time the men and boys must be having, out in the Gulf, on their exciting fishing trip. Little did we realize that our fishermen were having the fishing trip they would not soon forget.

On this day, instead of fishing, they were floating 25 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico, without a boat, in agony for 14 hours from the frigid water, vomiting and hallucinating by swallowing salt water, being stung by sea creatures, singing, praying, being held up and kept by the Lord God Almighty, who is worthy of all Praise!! They all knew that if this was to be their last hours on this earth, that they would spend eternity with their Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!!

They will be rescued tomorrow!!

Thank You, Lord,

WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL!!!

The Struggle

As we are going about our day,

doing the tasks at hand,

we hear a scream!!

It sounds like the scream of a cat,

but not exactly.

This supposed "cat" scream is a little off tune you might say.

As "The Momma" investigates where this is coming from,

she finds NOTHING!!

We continue hearing this life threatening "cat" scream for some time.

After checking twice more,

still NOTHING!!

Until at last, after 45 minutes of this "Noise",

"The Momma" opens the door,

and instead of looking down, she looks up

and finds this...................

About 12 inches from my head!!!!
(Good thing I'm not afraid of snakes (or frogs), but it's not what I want right in my face!!)
The frog has blown himself up,

as not to be swallowed by this long, slimy creature.

After 4 hours of struggle and "frog" screams,

the frog wins, but not without a long fight.

This was our science project for the day. :)

(For some strange reason I thought others might be interested in this.) ;)

And to leave you with a more pleasant picture,

this is Hershey, the new member of the Farm.

Quote of the Day:

You're not a failure if you fall down,

but you are if you stay down.
(A note from James): Thank you to everybody for writing Happy Birthday to me.
I love y'all very, very much.

Happy Birthday James

J-man is excited!!

Two Boogieboards.

Are these for the pool?

Yep, the BIG pool, made by God.

"This is gonna be the bestest birthday, ever!"

Christiana will be the first to join the birthday boy.The cowboy drink holder.

Gabriel has given himself the job of the "plunger",
making sure everyone gets their ice cold plunge.

(Since James is the birthday boy, he was chosen first.)

Guess who's second?

But not without a fight!!

He's persistant and she's resistant.

Just to prove, as aggravating as the "plunger" is,

we still love him.
The waves were perfect!!

(They look "dirty" in this pic, but it was

actually deep blue.)

(Momma took all these pics, and wasn't sure about the setting.)
You can take him off the farm,

but he brings his tools with him :)

(You never know when you might need 'em.)

The making of Mt. Rushmore.

Well, Mt. Rushmore,

plus a few more heads :)
What are they up to?

Do they think pop needs a little plunge?

Will they conquer the father....
or will he teach them a few lessons.I think he's teaching them a few lessons.

What do you think?
The "Plunger" has gone down!!
YES!!!
"Don't even think about coming after me,

I've already been plunged!"
"This is the bestest birthday, ever!"
"Fighting the waves and being thrown around by

"You know who", sure makes ya hungry."
"It's just a good day at the ocean."
"So Refreshing"
"Hey man, I've noticed you're a little dry."

;)

(Well, you know the rest of the story.)
"Can we stay here, forever?"

"These waves are great!"

It is a wonderful life.

It truly is!!

Sand Fights are so fun......

until you wake up the next day and you have cuts
all through your sun fried skin from pieces of shell.
What a picture :)

"Daddy, will you take me out far and protect me from the huge waves?"
"Look out, Mary!"
While Thomas relaxes in the pool,

he gets a surprise visit by......
this friendly fellow.

(He almost swooped himself right into the hole!)

Farewell friend.

Nine hours of bliss.

James' beach cake.

(Doesn't fair too well in 99 degree heat.)

But it was still yummy.

Thank y'all for coming to my bestest birthday ever.

It was so fun!!

We love you, James.

You bring a smile to us all, every single day,

and we thank the Lord so much for you.

You bless our socks (and shoes) off.

(That's why we don't wear any. :)
