Happy 21st to the "Eldest of Eight"

HAPPY

TWENTY - ONE

BEN (or) GABRIEL (or both)

We love this pic because it shows a picture of how you love life,
and even through very difficult trials, you stay joyful.

Thank you for making life fun :)The ocean is a huge favorite place to be.
A wise son maketh a glad father:........
Prov.15:20
(And your father is "glad".)
"How many greens is one person expected to eat?!"

(This was after weeks and weeks of picking and eating greens!)

(We figure for every piece of junk food, you need at least a plate of greens to compensate;)

Farming is his love.
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son:
but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
Prov.10:5

Never pass up a good piece of exercise equipment without trying it out :)

Energy is just one of those things Gabriel has to deal with in life.

MUST BE NICE!!!

Oh Yeah!!

(Football is a big favorite!)Did he make it??

(Let's just say he doesn't underestimate the speed of the "older" men, anymore.)We thank our precious Lord for you, Gabriel.
We love the way you put the Lord and His principles first,
your sense of humor and how you can laugh so easily,
the way you love children,
how you love to work, but at the same time love to have fun.
We love you !!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver,
and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord,
and find the knowledge of God.
Prov. 2:1-5

Matt's 6th Birthday Party

Time for.....

PATROL

(Cousin) Matt decided to have a military (patrol) party since that is his
favorite thing to do with Gabriel and the littles.

Cake Lady Liv was chosen to make the cake.

This one was one of her favorites to make.

(The cup and paper on the table inside the barracks, are made out of play dough)

Finished (minus the tank coming up the hill, added later.)

We're Ready...

The were divided into four teams.

The teams had to go to each post where a flag was and do what the instructions commanded.

You had to stay at that post until the mission was completed.

Each member of the team had to complete the task.

This command was....

1. Run to the end of the field.

2. Fill your cup with water.

3. Run back without spilling it.

4. Drink it all without using your hands.

(It was harder than it sounds.)

Liv checking on how the other troops are progressing.

This was the last flag before going to the swampy woods. Here comes headquarters.

After all the commands were accomplished, the troops were to head to the swamp.

Their mission was to find 26 of their POWs and bring them home safe.

(The day before we had hid 26 army men of 4 different colors, one for each team, in the swamp.)

They had an hour to find them all and return home.

The team with the most rescued POW's wins.

This task was not easy!! It took determination and obedience to the voice of each troop's Sargent.

They also needed to be able to keep the whereabouts of the

POW's hidden from the other troops.

I think he's on to something.

The X represents that within 10 feet of the X, is where the Prisoner camp is.

"Must be here, somewhere, but where?!"

(Even with the X, it was difficult.)

Another clue

It's getting dark, so hunting will be much harder.

The yellow flies were attacking on all sides, but at least we only saw one

Cotton Mouth Moccasin.

(The gators stayed in the water.)

Looking high and low.

"Hurry! Time is running out."

The birthday boy at the end of the patrol.

"Good job soldier."

Time is now up and the troops are heading in.

Just plain tuckered out!!

There were two teams that found 22 POW's.

The tiebreaker is.....

First to untie the 8 knots in the rope, wins.

(It was between Gabriel and Liv's team. Liv's team won by a hair (or a knot):)

(Aunt Lee, Haley and Sommer.)

Sam

Sam has discovered the edible trees.
Thanks Matt, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jimbo.

It was a great "Patrol" Party.

Can't wait for the next one.

Uncle Tom's Surprise

Welcome to the July 4th celebration, or atleast that's what Uncle Tom thought....

Here he comes, unsuspecting ....that it's actually a 50th surprise party for him.
He was totally surprised!!
(The leaning (on purpose) cake made by the cake lady, Liv.)

Uncle Toms mother and sister (Mary)

Sweet lil Liberty.

Java Momma's Club Members.

Mrs. Stokes and Thomas

Rachel and Haley

Markie and Stacy

My favorite kind of dog :)

They danced all night....
(Sounds good, but the truth is far from that!!)
Fireside Chat (without the fire).

Uncle Tom and some of his guests.

Waiting for the fireworks.
(The fireworks show was incredible.)
Mrs. Stokes and Mrs. P had fun making these (far from professional) cupcakes,
but it sure was sweet fun ;) (literally)
Thanks for coming to the party.
We enjoyed your company.
