Farm Fresh Creamy Goodness

A morning surprise out in the field.
(Gretta Octavia Aurora Teresa, aka: GOAT)
(They say goat's milk is good for you, so we'll have plenty of GOAT's milk.)
Our Hohlstein has had her first calf (Goober)
which means we get,
Farm Fresh Creamy Goodness.
:)
Three Maidens (that will be) Milking"Here they come again, to steal our milk!!"
Ben, trying his hand at milking.
(A few days after Goober was born, we were blessed with this Jersey
from a friend, for our milking pleasure, and she is a (calm) pleasure,
if you know what I mean?)
Christiana milking the GOAT.
Ready to milk in any kind of weather.
Today, the weather is rain.
Strawberry Parfait
Just one of the delightful treats from that
Farm Fresh Creamy Goodness.
Just another fun day on the farm.

In Front of the Lens

"Never leave home without it",

and she usually doesn't.

Here's just a little of what was found on this side of the lens.No matter where you're at,

there's always time for a game of football:)

What comes to my mind is:

"Too much energy"

A "Just Because Gift" from mom.

"Just because you're all such a huge blessing to me."

Love, Momma

Piggies are growing just fine :)

My littlest sweet girl.

"Little Sister" welcoming home the big brother.

Mary is in heaven with Rebecca.

(Thank you Sykes family for letting us enjoy her.)

Sugar and Spice.

Fun time with Thomas.

It's time for the rodeo,

trampoline style.

(I kinda like that style.)

It's Liv's turn to enjoy this precious blessing.

Life is just good :)

(No, this is not posed.)

Liv is just multi-tasking and making melody (I think) while cooking dinner.

You never know what you might find on this side of the lens ;)

Quote of the Day:

To escape criticism,

do nothing, say nothing and be nothing.

Sun n Fun Fly-in "2010"

Every year about this same time,
we have the pleasure of enjoying the Fly-In,
right here in the small (well, not anymore) city of Lakeland,
where pilots with their planes come from all over the
world for us to enjoy :) The talent of these pilots are amazing!!

The LOUD rumbling of the jet engines are one of our favorite parts.
Gabriel and Jon.

Christiana and Liv enjoying the show.
One full week of amazing sights.
The Thunderbirds in their F-16 Fighting Falcons were
one of our favorites.
These planes fly so close together, it's scary and incredible to watch.
The wing planes follow the lead plane, only by focusing on the
wings of the lead plane. If the lead plane gets in trouble, so do
the wing planes.
The dragster with a rocket engine.
It gets up to 150 mph in a few seconds.

The dragster giving us a "fire" show.

The "Helicopter" shooting fireworks.
Awesome Show
If you're in these parts next year, about this same time,
it's worth seeing.

and gives them to other people :)

Up, Up and Away

"Ooooh!! Ahhhhhh!!" The kick-off night
for the "2010 Sun n Fun Fly-In"
What better place to see the airshow
than on the top of the parking garage.
(Thanks to Liv. She picks the best spots.)

"Hold on, let me put my glasses on"

"There we go, much better."

(Aunt Mary, Uncle Tom, Matt and "some" of the gang.)

Any excuse for some fabulous family time

is great with us.

Quote of the Day : Don't count the harsh words said;
tally the years of love instead.

The Orchard in the Grove

We love citrus more than any other fruit,
but we thought it would be nice to have a variety of fruits
available all year round.
What better place to pick them
than from your own backyard.
Beautiful BlossomsWe were able to get 28 fruit trees from a
family farm in Georgia, about a month ago.
Different varieties of:
Peaches
Pears
Apples
Pomegranate
Plums
Nectarine
Thank you, Lord,
for your provision once again.
-----------------------------------------------------------

"Howdy Folks, just enjoying a day at the farm."

After picking up another load of hay,
we decided to go back to the strawberry field one more time.
We did get ALOT more strawberries,
but we also got another blessing........
.........a truck full of onions!!!
The owners of the strawberry field had picked
all they wanted, so they let us pick all that we wanted!!
A "Big Bunch".
"Moooo"
The picture taker.
(Ariana is the camera girl, but she's Not keen on heights.)
(Christiana is THE tree climber, but usually doesn't have the camera.)
:)
Well, it's been a great day, don't you think.
Got a lot of work done and had fun doin it :)
Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence if fulness of joy;
at the right hand there are pleasures
for evermore.
