Farm Fresh Creamy Goodness

A morning surprise out in the field.
(Gretta Octavia Aurora Teresa, aka: GOAT)
(They say goat's milk is good for you, so we'll have plenty of GOAT's milk.)
Our Hohlstein has had her first calf (Goober)
which means we get,
Farm Fresh Creamy Goodness.
:)
Three Maidens (that will be) Milking"Here they come again, to steal our milk!!"
Ben, trying his hand at milking.
(A few days after Goober was born, we were blessed with this Jersey
from a friend, for our milking pleasure, and she is a (calm) pleasure,
if you know what I mean?)
Christiana milking the GOAT.
Ready to milk in any kind of weather.
Today, the weather is rain.
Strawberry Parfait
Just one of the delightful treats from that
Farm Fresh Creamy Goodness.
Just another fun day on the farm.
Quote of the Day:
Once you get started doing nothing,
it's hard to quit.

Oh, I'm so excited for y'all! Are you milking both the Jersey and the Holstein?

Hope it is all going well, and may the Lord bless that dear friend who was willing to give up a Jersey!

Love,
Katie

Mrs. R,

We're not too keen on the "other" goat milk either!! We're glad we're in the land of creamy, dairy goodnes, until it comes to the schedule part of it, but not having to buy a gallon a day at the store sure helps the wallet, plus we know what we're getting:)

Katie,
We are milking both and we LOVE the Jersey milk!! It's so much creamier. We are VERY GRATEFUL!!

Good for ya'll. We enjoy getting milk from Katie. It's wonderful! We are thankful that she has the ball and chain - not us :) We may have it someday though!

Yay for Goat's Milk!!! It must be the absolute best milk around!

Awww....my favorite pic is of Ben trying to milk the cow, poor thing. (((laughing))) (He claims he didn't do that bad...but did admit the girls were better at it...)

Love the quote of the day!

Are you planning on making butter?

Ooooo! My hubby is a milk lover through and through. He drinks about 2 gallons a week (by himself!)! Oh, and could you ship one of those strawberry parfaits up here? They look sooooo good!

Molly,
We have been making butter, but we forget that you don't leave fresh butter out!! We've made yogurt, but we haven't made cheese or sour cream yet. That's to come.

Amy,
The girls are the ones that came up with the name, in their protest against us ever thinking about getting goats!! I don't think they have anything to worry about.

Sally,
We would love to send one of those parfaits your way, but it would melt by the time it got down the driveway.
