BeautyBerry

American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana)
Native to the southeastern United States.
It can typically reach 1-2 m in height.
American beautyberry or Callicarpa americana has been found to be a natural insect repellent. It has found to be repellant to mosquitoes and Ticks. Just crush leaves and rub on your skin:)
Jelly can be made from its ripe berries.
Well, it's not quite as good as the Pokeberry Jelly...but it is pretty tasty and you don't have to worry about having the other juices on hand.

Beauty Berry Jelly

1 1/2 qts. beauty berries, washed.
2 qt. water

Boil for 20 minutes and strain to make infusion.
Use 3 cup infusion, add 1 envelope Sure Jell and 4 1/2 cups sugar.
Bring to boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from burner and allow to stand until foam forms.
.

Skim off foam.
Pour into sterilized jars and cap

and Enjoy:)

Gotta Love That Cowboy...

I was thinking the other day that we really don't have any
good pictures of the little children.
So I decided to take each of them and get some nice pictures of
just them before they're all old and grown!
Time gets away from you so fast!

~~~~~~
Gotta love this one ;)
Momma's favorite:)
Hope y'all enjoyed this little Cowboy.
I know I did!
Fence Mending Never Ending
All because of cows :)
"Who me? I always stay where I'm put."
(Don't think so buddy.) Before mowing.
(The other field, they're supposed to be in, looks great.)
"The hammer is no where to be found, ya think this will work?""It's gonna have to." Fence work is never, ever, ever done!!
(I think he's using a jack handle for his hammer.)
Caption Please !!!
(Since we have NO IDEA what he's doing.)
....Dreaming of a nice cool place with an ice cold river to jump into........
Have any suggestions?
"Eat More Chicken"
"And I'll eat some mangoes, how bout it?"
"Now that's what I'm talking about. Thanks alot."
Mangoes?? Sounds great!!
Smoky thinks she's the boss with those horns.
She usually is :)
"I think I'll have a piece of gum,
how bout you?"
What????
It's funny how a conversation can get so messed up......
Like today when Christiana was trying to explain to Ariana "That the new seed company only sold to "Home Owners" unlike us. :) And so Momma and Daddy weren't able to get the seeds today, Cause the other seed place was across town". When what she meant to say was...."They only sell to "Wholesalers":) Poor Ariana was SO confused.
Life is Good :)
The following are just a few places she's been recently.
We're desparately trying to find places to put all the canning that's been going on.
