BeautyBerry

American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana)
Native to the southeastern United States.
It can typically reach 1-2 m in height.
American beautyberry or Callicarpa americana has been found to be a natural insect repellent. It has found to be repellant to mosquitoes and Ticks. Just crush leaves and rub on your skin:)
Jelly can be made from its ripe berries.
Well, it's not quite as good as the Pokeberry Jelly...but it is pretty tasty and you don't have to worry about having the other juices on hand.

Beauty Berry Jelly

1 1/2 qts. beauty berries, washed.
2 qt. water

Boil for 20 minutes and strain to make infusion.
Use 3 cup infusion, add 1 envelope Sure Jell and 4 1/2 cups sugar.
Bring to boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from burner and allow to stand until foam forms.
.

Skim off foam.
Pour into sterilized jars and cap

and Enjoy:)
