Fishing, Etc.

Deep Sea Fishing

Thank you, Michael, for getting this trip together.

The Fisher(men)

;)

The Galley

Sweet Friends

Red Hog Snapper

(Good Eats, but not so good on the visual side.)

Paul with the "Big" catch.

Smokey House

Mary and James decided to open a restaurant for the neighborhood,

so they hired Christiana to be their cook,

and they opened for business.

Waiting to be seated.

Mary, explaining the "Special" of the day.

Yummy Goodness.

Our "Happy" waiter.

(With a little comedy added in.)

We even had "Mr. Jenkinsmith" fly in straight from England.

(He was a fine gentleman, indeed!)

"I'm used to be served straight away, boy, straight away!!"

(Still waiting......)

We LOVE Smokey House.

FPEA Convention 2011

For the second year in a row, they upgraded our room (free)..

This year it was a huge room on the 8th floor,

with living room,

separate (Huge) bedroom,

balcony

and it's own hallway and doorbell.

(Liv brought the littles and C over for the day,

and they had a blast.)

Here's the view to the right.

It was a wonderful three days spent with my best friend.

This is in the Everglades section of the Gaylord Palms Hotel.

Gettin' a little sun.

Put your own caption,

(I have no clue.)

James and Matt

(Been doing a little fishin'.)

Friend Time

Jon and Colby flyin high.

"Anybody want to challenge me?"

"Oh, yeah!"

Arms full of sweetness.

:)

"Are we having fun yet?"

YEP

Well, I was, until............

----------------------

NOT FUN

Jon was trying to get this hook out of a blanket,

so nobody would get stuck with it,

and somebody got stuck with it.

Hooks don't come out the same way they go in,

so dad had to push it on through his finger and then pull it out the other side.

This is when you wish you had some serious pain killer.

He does NOT

want to ride in this rodeo, again!!

(Jon, you're a brave soul.)

Today's Quote:

Never approach a bull from the front,

a horse from the rear,

or a fool from any direction.

Wow, seeing that galley pictures makes even more glad I was *not* there!! The kids had so much fun though :)

Smokey House looks delicious! I'll have to try it sometime. I loved the waiter.... charming! And Mr.Jenkinsmith was so dignified straight from England, huh? We've had similar eating establishments over here!

FPEA looks like it was great. I have never been. The Gaylord Palms is something else, huh? Your upgrade makes me jealous! I have often dreamed of an upgrade like that! That place looks like it has everything - Wills and CJ would be in hog heaven!

Great post!
Love,
Molly

Molly, I was thinking the same thing. Love the pics, but so glad I wasn't on that boat. Yes, you could spend a whole day at the Gaylord and see so many different things. It's a neat place to visit.
Smokey House would be glad to have you come visit :)

Susanelizabeth, Glad you finally found us. You never know what you might find on this crazy blog.
