When Times Were Simple

A trip back in time:

This was an amazing place.

The kind of museum we really enjoy.

" A Refridgerator Generator"

(You put a quarter in and it would run for 24 hours. Your refridgerator would

run depending on how much money you wanted to spend.

At the end of the week someone would come around and collect the money.)

This is how you paid for your refridgerator.

Lawnmower/Excercise Machine.

(The "gym" was not needed back in those days!!)

So many things to see,

you could actually stay here all day and not see everything.

Some of Mr. Meltons BlackSmithing creations.

Dynamite Blasting Machine.

A fine piece of Art

(That we wish we had sitting in our kitchen.)
Old cash register

The only Farmall we didn't see is the rare pink one,

like the one that we own :)

Grist Mill

Barbed wire from ages past.

(Very interesting, don't ya think?)
Another one of the blacksmithing creations.

An old shop fan ;)

Thomas making grits.

(A great weightloss program. Burn up some calories while making breakfast.)

Ariana and Thomas getting a little drink out of the pitcher pump.

Mary was put to work Sharpening knives.

:)

Demonstration of the Grist Mill.

Making Corn Meal, Grits and flour,

all at the same time, depending on the screens you use.

Mrs. Tews Blueberry "something", that was brought to the picnic

and was Very, Very good!

Now this is what I call "Dinner on the Grounds".

That bird's been following Thomas

since we were at the ocean!!

Too Funny!!

It's been good visiting the past.

Now it's time to "fly" wheel outta here!!

(We obey all speed limit signs.)

Quote of the Day:

If you feel you have no faults,

that makes another one.

Oooo, love all the old stuff! It reminds me of some of the antique shops and barns we went into in GA. It looks like y'all had a lot of fun. (and just for the record Liv, we didn't know there was a picnic afterwards....that may have helped to get us there...=D)

Anyways...((laughing))
