Beautiful pictures, humorous commentary! How'd you find so many willing little guys to help? Do you keep this hay for your own animals for sell it?

What a beautiful hay field! Sometimes, Florida is so pretty that it hurts! Y'all looked like you did hay the best way, with lots of help and lots of fun!

That was such a fun day! Thanks for havin' us. (though I don't recall any of the girls climbing the haybails that day...!)

Elisabeth,

Thanks for stopping by. We bale for our cattle and to sell. We don't need quite that much hay for our cows, since we only have 80 or so cows and grass grows most of the year here, except for a couple months in the winter, which makes it nice.

The pics with all the friends in the hayfield was just a "fun" day, enjoying the great outdoors, our favorite place to be. It just takes 3 workers for baling since it's round bales, which makes it nice. There are, though, many other adventures to be had out in the field :) Life is good

Is that bahaia y'all are bailing? And did y'all buy the netwrapped bermuda somewhere else, or did y'all bale it? Round bales sure cut the labour factor down a bunch LOL!

Hey RG,

The field we're in right now is Bahia. The net wrap hay is Tifton 44 that we get from a friend. We're thinking about getting a net wrap baler in the spring. It cuts time in half and looks alot neater, too.

Yes!! Round bales cut the heavy labor a whole lot, plus it takes a lot less time. We're thinking about doing a few square bales, just for people that have no way to unload the round.

Those are awesome pics! Baling hay looks like fun. We've helped friends pick up the square bales (HOT work!), but we've never messed with the round ones. By the way, did you know round bales are outlawed in NC? Yeah, the cows couldn't get a square meal. : ) : )

What!?! Doing hay in NOVEMBER!!! Our boys are especially glad that haying is over so they can go hunt deer. =)

It is fun to do up our 50 acres of hay - getting to drive the tractor in the sweet smelling hay field in the sun. And racing to get the wagons unloaded before their needed again.

Seeing the football break made me think of a couple years ago we had some friends helping to unload and we were so tired that we decided to take a quick bike ride around our 9 mile block before we did the next load. =)

Beautiful pictures! It's so fun to try to capture the colors of the sunset on camera, but no matter how hard I try, it doesn't quite compare to God's handiwork that changes every minute.

God bless!
