The Auction

For the first time in their lives, they're fleeing the country!! I told them things may get better, but they wouldn't listen :)

The truth is they ARE fleeing the country, but they are coming back (Right?). They are going to Guatemala to help build (expand) an orphanage there and try and meet whatever needs they may have with the 70 children that are there, now. After the expansion they will be able to house 200.  (Pic - Aunt Esther's beautiful artwork that we were thrilled to purchase!)
Kathleen Baptist Church has an auction and dinner every year to try and raise money for missions and I must say it was a SUCCESS!!   (Pic is of a "Redneck Rocker")

The girls quilt they made for the auction.

Drinks, anyone?

Glad to have friends join us! Thank y'all for your great efforts, driving through Tropical Storm Debbie to get here.

Ready for action!!

A beautiful quilt (as always) made and donated by Mrs. Mathers. She taught the girls much of her expert quilting skills and we are so grateful! She's amazing.
Ben, trying to get the bidders excited, while getting pretty excited himself.

Whippin' everybody up some grub.

"Ha ha ha, you don't say." (I actually have no idea what they're saying.)
Hey, btmkl;aedkakdlakdjf.......... SOLD for $1000, (I wish)!!
I had to HIDE that number or we would've been living on the street!!

And now for the moment of truth. They were hoping to get maybe $100 for the quilt.
But, they were pleasantly surprised!
It brought $400.00!!  And to make things even better it was to precious friends. Thank y'all, SO much for your generosity.

Liv donated Eldon and Delroy Mcfuzzy for the auction and they are now part of Julie's family. Thank you, Julie (I'm sure Mickey and Minnie will enjoy their new friends.)

The auction raised $10,000 (Approx.) to be split amongst the 18 that are going!
Thank you ALL for coming out and supporting us all.

Thank you, LORD!!
