A Great Day

Time for Dinner........

"Is it what we think it is?"
"Yep, run like you mean it!"
"They're comin and they're comin fast!"
"Excuse me, but where's the grub?"
------------------------------
Special Delivery
100 balls of (noisy, very noisy) yellow fluff.
Ham Bone and Bacon Bits are growing up just fine.
Getting the field ready for planting sweet corn.
Coming along nicely.

Our Work Shoes.
"Try some cool, refreshing Lemonade."
After getting the cornfield ready for planting,
it's time for a break before planting the potatoes,
in the "other" field.
Nothing better than relaxing with friends and family.
"It's a good day on the farm."

Time to pull the potato vines to plant.
Cutting the vines to about 13" to plant. We consider it a joy, anytime we can visit
with Mr. McIntosh(and his precious wife),
who came all the way from
North Carolina to help Uncle Jim plant.
He's a true friend!! Uncle Jim and Mary.
Planting Buddies.
What a blessing to be able to learn so much farming wisdom
from our Uncle Jim. He's almost 90 years old, has been very sick,
but he still keeps farming, and he loves to teach others what he knows.
What a testimony!!
We will treasure these memories.

Uncle Jim teaches us how to plant the "easy" way.
THANK YOU, Uncle Jim!!
Five rows finished :)

The "After Hours" watering crew.
We call that a
GREAT DAY
:)
Thank you all who have been praying for Uncle Jim.
The Lord has blessed so much as He always does.
Please continue to pray.
Quote of the Day:
Do not pray for a lighter load,
but for a stronger back.
:)

You know what really blesses my heart about your family? The fact that all the girls and ladies wear skirts no matter what you are doing...what a wonderful testimony! I APPRECIATE your faithfulness. Thank you and God bless you ALL!

Looks like a hard day of work...but will be well worth it! I love your pig's names too...how clever!

How nice - looks like a great day! Makes me really want to come down and visit. Hoping to get to know you all (obviously I'm a Northerner, aren't I?) better over the next couple of years!

What fun! And what a special time with 'Uncle Jim.'
It is good to see the pics of him out there with you. We heard he was doing really bad for a while there, and have been praying for him!

Ah...farm life. So proud of you all with all of your enterprising farming ventures! Hard work can surely be a lot of fun can't it?

Glad your Uncle Jim could be out there too! He's such a treasure.

Love,

Hey Y'all, it's so nice to be catching up on all your posts, our computer has not been working so we are having a blast looking at all the old posts! Looks like great fun you guys are having, working out in the field in bare feet, planting and having Grandpa right alongside you to teach and help. What great times those are!
See ya soon!(Lord willing)
